Use coding, robotics, and 3D design to create solutions that protect and improve our planet. Create innovative solutions that help protect, preserve, and improve our planet utilising your designed technology.

Participants may join ONE of
the following categories:

3D Design & Modelling
Design a 3D model that shows a creative solution for protecting nature, such as eco-friendly homes, green transportation, or wildlife habitats.

Coding & Animation
Create a game, animation, or interactive story that raises awareness about protecting the planet using coding platforms such as Scratch.

Electronics & Robotics
Build a simple robot or electronic system that helps solve environmental problems, such as monitoring pollution or improving recycling.

Who is this for?
MindHack 2026 is open to students aged 7–17 who enjoy technology, creativity, and problem solving.
You do not need to be an expert coder. If you enjoy building, designing, experimenting, or creating something new, this competition is for you.
You may join individually or as part of a team with 2–3 members, working together to develop a creative project that reflects the theme.

Prizes
MindHack 2026 is more than just a competition—it’s a movement to empower young innovators to become guardians of our planet. The top winner of each category will then be selected as the Australian representatives and have the opportunity to compete at Mindhack INTERNATIONAL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The winner (overall) of the Australian Mindhack competiton will also win a choice of their color of the new Macbook NEO!

Judging Criteria
Creativity and Innovation
How original, imaginative, and inventive is the idea?
Relevance to Theme
How well does the project reflect the theme “Guardians of the Planet”?
Teamwork and Individual Contribution
Did the team collaborate and share responsibilities, or (for individuals) how effectively was planning, development, and completion?
Functionality
How well does the project work? Is it user-friendly and purposeful?
Presentation and Communication
How clearly and effectively is the idea explained in the video?
